Between Launch Trains, Qualio is hard at work developing new features based on what we hear from our customers. We invite our customers to participate in beta testing to provide feedback to our product team.

Admins can access the Beta Features Page to turn these features on in the sandbox or production ahead of the official release by navigating to Settings > Admin Settings > Beta Features.

Note for enabling in Production instances

Because these features/enhancements are still in beta, they are not yet reflected in the current validation documentation. Upon release of a feature, any additional or updated test cases will be reflected in the validation documentation released during the 30-day validation period.

Below is a list of our current, ongoing betas.

Global Search

Improving ease of finding information across the entire Qualio platform from anywhere within the application.

Solution: The Global Search feature will provide quick navigation by searching across all major areas of Qualio, including:

  • Documents

  • Events

  • Document Change Requests

  • Suppliers

  • Change Controls

  • Design Controls

As new features are added, they will also be included in the search results.

Design Controls and Supplier Notifications

Providing greater visibility to specific steps in the Design Control and Supplier qualification process.

Solution: Notifications for DC and Supplier approval flows are now available. These approval activities include:

  • Approval Request

  • Approval Received

  • Approval Declined

  • Approval Complete

For the definitions of these activities, check out our Qualio Notifications article.

Improved Multi-level Lists

Enabling more complex formatting in Qualio and preserving formatting when pasting in from Microsoft Word.

Solution: With this update, users will have the ability to create multi-level lists from scratch within the editor, independent of the Qualio section number.

Users can paste from Word and retain the source formatting or amend formatting to better fit the existing formatting on the page in Qualio. Ordered lists have also been updated to offer custom start numbering.

Document History

Enhancing Qualio’s versioning capability to ensure important changes made to a document are captured in an easy-to-understand way.

Solution: The document history will help you identify when and where changes are made and who was involved. All editable Qualio documents now include a high-level activity history, such as which section has been edited and by who, and a comment history. Documents using the Upload Format will capture property changes and indicate if the file has been updated (by clicking “Fetch changes” with the OneDrive integration or uploading a new file).
