User Experience

  • Challenge: Quality processes can be complex, and we want to simplify the experience for all users to encourage understanding and efficiency.

  • Solution: We've embarked on a journey to create a consistent and seamless user experience across Qualio.

What's New

  • Redesigned Navigation System: A new, collapsible left-hand navigation menu.

  • Refreshed Screens: Organization Settings, Product Changes, Your Account Settings, and the Billing screen (we’ll be refreshing other screens gradually).

  • Workspace & Library:

    • Streamlined document creation with fewer required fields and a collapsable properties panel.

    • Wider tables

    • "Title" column before "Type" for improved navigation.

    • Simplified tag behavior.

    • Normal users can now compare document versions from the Library.

  • Document Overview:

    • Collapsible Properties panel for easy access to document details.

    • Seamless tab switching without page refreshes.

    • Clear action buttons and banners for editing/suggesting/viewing.

    • Color-coded actions and easier version switching.

  • Change Control:

    • Unified content editor for document and change control.

    • Inline comments in change control.

Notifications

  • Challenge: Inconsistent notification experiences and excessive notification noise can lead to missed alerts and delays in response.

  • Solution: A revamped, unified notification system designed to streamline communication and boost efficiency.

  • Centralized in-app feed for account-specific notifications.

  • Standardized and improved email notifications.

  • Configurable preferences for notification types and delivery methods.

Availability: Available to all customers, with permissions based on user roles and activities.

Events

  • Challenge: Customers need greater flexibility in configuring event workflows to align with their specific processes.

  • Solution: You can now configure validation steps according to your workflows by changing any event step into a validation step. Form steps are now the default validation step.

What's Changed

  • Validation Step Flexibility: Customize validation processes based on your specific workflows by converting any event step into a validation step. The default validation step is now the form step. This enhancement allows you to easily create and customize forms for accurate validation in your workflows.

Availability: Available to all customers with Events enabled and permissions to edit event templates.

Beta Features Page

  • Challenge: The current process for signing up for and managing beta features is manual and cumbersome.

  • Solution: We're introducing a new Beta Features page within Admin Settings, providing an intuitive interface for admins to manage features in Beta.

  • Opt-In/Out Functionality: Easily enable or disable beta features in your sandbox environment.

Availability: Available to all customers; only admins/quality users can manage beta feature access.

Qualio AI

  • Challenge: Creating and maintaining high-quality content can be time-consuming and challenging, especially at scale.

  • Solution: Qualio's new AI-powered content editing enables quality managers and their teams to deliver exceptional content efficiently.

What's New

  • AI-Powered Content Writing:

    • Improve writing prompts

    • Generate change controls

    • Generate training assessments

    • Convert instructions to step-by-step format

    • Make language more authoritative

Availability: AI features are available to all customers on Growth and Scale plans and aren't accessible on the Foundations plan. This feature can be toggled on/off by admins from within the Permissions page in Admin Settings.

Smartlinking

  • Challenge: Events and other quality processes can be isolated, reducing visibility and making it difficult to track relationships between different elements in your QMS.

  • Solution: Enhanced Smartlinking with an improved user experience and expanded functionality.

What's Enhanced

  • Expanded Smartlinking: Seamlessly link related items across Documents, Change Requests, Events, Suppliers, and Users.

  • Improved UX: Quicker search, icons for resource types, and consistent design patterns.

  • Exportable Smartlinks: View and utilize smartlinks in exported content.

Availability: Smartlinking usage is available to all Qualio customers, but only users with edit permissions can create and manage Smartlinks.
