Document Creation Options in Qualio
In addition to creating a Qualio document utilizing the in-app editor, Qualio now offers the ability to control compatible file types directly by selecting the upload file during document creation.
The new upload functionality can also be paired with a OneDrive integration, allowing you to select a file directly from your OneDrive storage and sync to fetch changes rather than download and re-upload files.
When should "New Document" be utilized?
The "New Document" option is ideal when you would like to create a new document utilizing the Qualio editor on a defined template.
This option keeps documents concise and consistent regarding sections and format.
It also offers your organization a closed cycle where drafting, review, approval, and training can all take place within Qualio without the need for outside file types or editing tools.
When should "Upload File" be utilized?
The "Upload File" option is ideal when the document you would like to control is already drafted and formatted to its ideal state in an external file type (.docx, .pdf, .ppt, .jpg, .png, .odf)
"Upload File," in combination with the OneDrive integration, allows users to continue utilizing Word's editing features in OneDrive and easily fetch any changes to update the document in Qualio for review/approval.
Forms that are often printed for completion by hand can easily be controlled in their original source file for easy access and printing.
"Upload File" also works well to control training presentations or other document types commonly created as PowerPoint slides.

Questions and Answers from the Webinar
Would you consider offering the same capability as the OneDrive integration but with DropBox or Google Drive?
Qualio is always looking for new ways to improve our product. If your organization would benefit from a similar integration with another tool, send us a feature request via the in-app chat, and let us know!
How do I get access to OneDrive?
A OneDrive storage account will have to be purchased from Microsoft. Once it exists, it can easily be connected with Qualio as outlined here: https://docs.qualio.com/en/articles/8886757-onedrive-integration-for-documents
Why should we consider removing the header and footer with Upload File?
Upon exporting any document, Qualio will automatically generate and include a header with document information, plus a footer with export details and a confidentiality statement. If the header or footer are not removed when using the Upload File option, both the header/footer in the source document and the Qualio-generated header/footer will be included and could potentially contain conflicting information.
Is it possible to view the revision history of templates?
At this time, template history is not visible, but we are working diligently on template change control and revision history and hope to have a solution available soon.
